Name: Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) is a small freshwater fish native to South America

Why keep them: Vibrant colors, easy to keep (means they don’t die easily), ideal beginner fish

Important notes:

  • Keep in a group of at least 15, to not potentially cause stress
  • Newly cycled tanks are not suitable for your Tetras; generally the changes in the water chemistry during this time will kill them. 
  • Ideal aquarium style should be: dark, with lots of plants
  • Only feed them extremely small pieces
